Located near the fishing town of Buckie, Inchgower whiskies are characterised by a unique maritime and salty character, which is unusual for Speyside whiskies. A relatively short fermentation process creates a distinctively nutty profile, while a hotter second water in mashing cuts back overt nuttiness and brings out the spicy character. The quick distillation with less reflux preserves the oily and complexity of the whisky.
