A full-bodied Highland single malt, Blair Athol whiskies are often described as strong, voluminous and even “brash”, often featuring a malty character. This whisky character is partially achieved by allowing a controlled amount of solids into the wash still, adding depth into the new spirits. A cloudy wort and short fermentation process adds nuttiness to the character.
