Benromach Distillery, founded in 1898 in Forres, Speyside, faced early financial struggles and closures but was revived in 1993 by Gordon & MacPhail, reopening in 1998. It produces traditional Speyside single malt whiskies with a subtle peat influence, combining fresh, fruity character with smoky notes. The distillery is small-scale, using organic barley and diverse cask maturation, and is part of Scotland’s Malt Whisky Trail. It also produces Red Door Gin and offers visitor tours, including whisky blending experiences.
