The Yamazaki Tsukuriwake 2022 selection captures the essence of Japanese craftsmanship. Composed of four distinct single malts – Puncheon, Peated Malt, Spanish Oak, and Mizunara – this limited edition highlights the art of diversity in whisky making. Each whisky, aged in carefully selected casks, reflects a unique aspect of Yamazaki's complexity, distilling the richness of Japanese tradition.

Yamazaki Puncheon. Aged exclusively in American oak puncheons, this single malt reveals aromas of green apple, ripe pear, and acacia honey. The palate is smooth and velvety, with subtle butterscotch notes. The finish, marked by a delicate oak influence, adds a soft, lingering sweetness that enhances its complexity.

Yamazaki Peated Malt. Crafted from heavily peated malts, this single malt offers a refined and gentle smokiness. Herbal notes and tropical fruits like pineapple add aromatic depth. On the palate, subtle peat and earthy undertones blend harmoniously with hints of citrus, leading to a long, smoky finish with lingering complexity.

Yamazaki Spanish Oak. Matured in Spanish oak casks, this single malt reveals aromas of raisins and prunes, enriched by complex fruity nuances. The palate is delicate and opulent, balanced by a light acidity that enhances its flavours. The silky and persistent finish evokes a rich and generous character, deeply layered and elegant.

Yamazaki Mizunara. Aged in Japanese Mizunara oak casks, this single malt is distinguished by its spicy notes and incense-like character. The nose reveals elegant aromas of custard cream and cinnamon, while the round and aromatic palate offers subtle hints of precious wood, extended by a complex and lingering finish.
