The Whisky: This limited edition Japanese whisky from the Shizuoka distillery is a heavily peated expression that was distilled in ex-Karuizawa steam-heated still, which excels at extracting intense flavours from high-phenol peated barley, producing a lighter, more floral base spirit where peat smoke integrates elegantly rather than dominating. As with all Raw Cask expressions, this whisky is bottled with minimal filtration, no added colouring and at cask strength to preserve the flavour of the whisky.
