Miyagikyo Aromatic Yeast 2022 Single Malt Japanese Whisky

Released as a limited-edition bottling for Nikka's "Discovery Series", the Miyagikyo Aromatic Yeast is a single malt whisky designed to highlight the distillery's fruity, elegant house style. The special yeast strain used generates a highly fragrant ginjo sake-like, estery character, yielding tasting notes of peach, apricot, pear, and honey. It is bottled at 47% ABV.

NOSE Rose water, coconut, stone fruits, and vanilla.

PALATE Fresh croissants, apple blossom, creamy custard, and a whisper of tropical spice.

FINISH Clean, floral, with lingering cherry blossom and chamomile.
