This is a single malt achieves a rare feat by vatting both distinct spirit styles produced under the same roof on the Isle of Mull—the heavily peated Ledaig and the unpeated Tobermory. Matured in a combination of refill sherry butts and hogsheads, this co-mingled dram is bottled at its natural cask strength of 41% ABV, a remarkably low proof that suggests an exceptionally thirsty, leaky cask was hiding in the warehouse. The resulting liquid delivers a soft, almost pastoral complexity, gracefully balancing cold campfire smoke, damp driftwood, and coastal brine against crisp green apples, forest honey, and an eccentric, savoury hint of Camembert cheese.
