Flavour Profile:  On the nose, this Ledaig shows refined smokiness like smouldering driftwood by the sea, with salty sea breeze, grilled pineapple, old leather-bound books, eucalyptus, and with time also beeswax and soft vanilla. The palate is full and rounded with powerful but well-integrated peat smoke, notes of dried tropical fruits such as mango and papaya, roasted nuts, clove and a touch of dark chocolate, while the long, layered finish carries lingering smoke that fades into liquorice, sea salt and a hint of tobacco, giving an elegant, persistent aftertaste.
