This 33-year-old single malt debuting the distillery’s “Strong Characters” series, dedicated to figures who shaped Laphroaig’s history. Honouring co-founder Donald Johnston, the release is matured in a combination of American oak and European oak sherry casks and bottled at 43.8% ABV. It reveals a richly layered profile where traditional peat smoke intertwines with sherry-inspired fruit cake, crème brûlée, and subtle maritime tones. The presentation features an exclusive illustration of Johnston by artist Bill Bragg.
