This ultra rare single malt comes from the Ladyburn distillery - one of the shortest-lived "ghost distilleries" in Scottish whisky history. Bottled by Blackadder as part of the Raw Cask Statement series (Statement No. 52), this whisky is a rare time capsule of this distillery, which closed its doors in 1975 after just nine years of operation. Distilled in 1973, and aged for 48 years, this release offers whisky collectors an exceptionally rare glimpse into a bygone era of Lowland distilling. Because it is part of Blackadder’s signature Raw Cask line, the whisky is presented in its absolute purest form—cask strength at 44.9% ABV, non-chill filtered, naturally colored, and bottled straight from the wood, complete with authentic barrel sediment left in the decanter. With an outturn of only 96 decanters worldwide, it is a true liquid relic from one of Scotland's most elusive lost distilleries.
