Ladyburn 48 Year Old 1973-2022 Raw Cask Statement No. 52 by Blackadder Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This ultra-rare single malt comes from Ladyburn, one of the shortest-lived "ghost distilleries" in Scottish whisky history. Built by William Grant & Sons inside their Girvan grain distillery in 1966, Ladyburn produced malt whisky for less than a decade before closing in 1975, and was demolished the following year. Every surviving cask is a time capsule of a lost era of Lowland distilling.

Distilled on 28 September 1973 and matured for 48 years in a single cask, this whisky was bottled by Blackadder in June 2022 as Statement No. 52, the family bottler's mark for the most exceptional casks in its care. In keeping with Blackadder's Raw Cask philosophy, it is presented at natural cask strength, without chill filtration or added colour, and may contain natural sediment from the cask. Only 96 decanters were filled worldwide.
