Inchgower 20 Year Old 1995-2015 Sherry Butt #692 Raw Cask Statement Edition No. 12 by Blackadder Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Whisky. Released by Blackadder to celebrate the company's 20th anniversary, this rare expression, distilled in July 1995 and bottled in September 2015, is a single-cask release with only 582 bottles produced at a potent 57.6% ABV. The Sherry maturation of this whisky adds a layer of old-school depth to Inchgower's salty, maritime character.

Flavour Profile:  A striking floral elegance of this masterpiece that prevents it from becoming a standard "sherry bomb," instead allowing the coastal spirit to take centre stage. It opens with a vibrant, floral bouquet, with subtle sweet fruit notes of tangerine and apricot, underscored by deeper layers of honey, brown sugar, and damp oak. The mouthfeel is heavy and oily, delivering plenty of fruit without being overwhelmed by typical sherry wood influence.  This gives way to a lingering, peppery warmth and a slight mineral saltiness that reflects Inchgower's maritime origin, eventually settling into a lingering warmth of milk chocolate and malted barley subtly underpinned by honey and sweet yellow fruits like apples and citrus.
