The Glen Keith distillery opened in 1958 as the first new Speyside distillery since the great whisky crash of 1898, and a liquid laboratory for the Scotch whisky industry. While its distillate has long been anchored in legendary blends like Chivas Regal, single malt expressions remain elusive. The distillery was mothballed in 1999 and underwent extensive reconstruction before reopening in 2013. Distilled in 1993, this expression is a liquid time capsule from Speyside’s historic experimental house. Matured for 32 years—including a transformative final period in a first-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead—this whisky perfectly encapsulates Glen Keith's signature tall-still, fruit-forward elegance. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 52.9%, the liquid pours a deep amber-mahogany.

NOSE Glen Keith's naturally ester-rich character shines through with baked apple, apricot, and poached pear, beautifully layered with candied orange peel, dark honey, raisins, walnut, and treacle toffee.

PALATE Full, velvety, and richly sweet. Decadent notes of honeycomb, dried figs, marmalade, and espresso seamlessly develop into structured toasted oak and cigar box—drawing out a depth of complexity that belies the distillery's under-the-radar status.

FINISH Long, warming, and sophisticated. Dark fruit and bitter chocolate gradually yield to soft spice, dried orange peel, and a lingering thread of gentle sweetness.
