Bruichladdich Octomore 13.3 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Octomore 13.3 is made exclusively from heavily peated barley (129.3 ppm) grown on a single farm on Islay. It is matured in a combination of first-fill ex-American whiskey barrels and second-fill European oak casks from the Rivesaltes region of France and Ribera del Duero in Spain. This maturation imparts a balance of vanilla and brown sugar sweetness with fresh green fruit notes, while the peat smoke remains gentle and dry, leading to a long finish with hints of creosote and sea spray.

The whisky offers aromas of malt sugar, delicate peat smoke, and floral notes like rose, geranium, apricot, and eucalyptus. On the palate, it is sweet with honey, caramel, and pastry hints, complemented by lemon zest and subtle peat smoke. The finish is long, expressive, and complex, featuring spice, wood, oats, fruit, and smoke. Bottled at 61.1% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring, emphasising its natural character and terroir from Islay barley.
