Distilled in 2001 and aged for more than two decades, this unpeated Islay single malt underwent its full maturation inside a single Sauternes wine cask (Cask #R190200001). Bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.4% ABV without chill filtration or artificial colouring, the ultra-limited outturn was restricted to 275 bottles globally in a 50cl format. This unusual maturation overlays Bruichladdich's characteristically farm-forward distillate with heavy dessert-wine sweetness, yielding a distinct flavour profile defined by notes of ripe clementines, fresh lemon, sweet farmyard funk, and mint chocolate on the nose, transitioning into baked apples, browned butter, and toasted marshmallows on the palate.
