Collection: Ardbeg

Region: Islay, Scotland

Year Built: 1815

An Islay single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Ardbeg on the South coast of the isle of Islay, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Makes a heavily peated style of single malt whisky that uses maltings from Port Ellen. Holds the world record for the most expensive cask when a 1975 cash of Ardbeg was sold for £16 million in July 2022. The whiskies of Ardbeg are mostly heavily peated malts. Compared to other Islay malts, Ardbeg does not focus on the sea and salt tastes, but rather on aromas of spices, malt or sweet tones like vanilla and chocolate.
