Collection: BenRiach

Region: Speyside, Scotland

Year Built: 1898

BenRiach Distillery, founded in 1898 by John Duff near Elgin in Speyside, quickly closed in 1900 due to the Pattison whisky crash but its maltings remained in use supplying Longmorn. It reopened in 1965 under Glenlivet Distillers, later owned by Seagram and then Pernod Ricard, which closed it again in 2001. In 2004, it was bought by an independent consortium led by whisky expert Billy Walker, who revitalized the brand and expanded by acquiring Glendronach and Glenglassaugh distilleries. In 2016, BenRiach was acquired by Brown-Forman. The distillery produces classic, peated, and triple-distilled whiskies, known for their fruity, smoky, and complex character, and features one of Scotland’s most diverse cask selections.
