百富 Balvenie

Located on the slopes of the Convals, below the Glenfiddich distillery, The Balvenie distillery was built in 1892 by William J. Grant, who is also the founder of the sister distillery Glenfiddich. Only one of seven Scottish distilleries that uses its old malting floor. The distillery's former Malt Master, David Stewart MBE, pioneered the process of wood finishing whereby whiskies are matured in one type of cask, such as ex-bourbon barrels, then transferred into a second cask type (such as Sherry, Port or Rum), resulting in a greater depth and complexity of the final flavour of the whisky.
