Under Irish Whiskey Technical File regulations, whiskey aged outside the island of Ireland cannot carry an official age statement, so it is officially presented as NAS despite its 16 years of maturation. The Jamaican rum oak maturation layers vibrant tropical notes of ripe banana, roasted pineapple, brown sugar, and warm vanilla spice over the aged malt's rich orchard fruit and honeyed palate. Presented un-chillfiltered and without added colouring, it delivers a deeply textured profile driven by full rum cask maturation and high-ester Jamaican wood.

Region

Ireland

Distillery

Undisclosed

Bottler

Blackadder

Age

Matured for 16 years in Scotland

Vintage

02.04.2013

Year Bottled

2025

ABV

57.5% (Cask Strength)

Vol

700ml

Cask

Ex-Monymusk Rum Cask

Cask No.

BA DROP 2025-01

No. of Bottles

199

https://thecentralwhisky.com/products/drop-of-the-irish-ref-ba-drop-2025-01-ex-monymask-rum-cask-by-blackadder-single-malt-scotch-whiskey
